Just a little bit salty, I'd say.

He's right. Manning sucked last season. No one can argue that.

The Broncos won in spite of Manning not because of him. That has been pretty well established. Not sure why Williams is just waking up to this fact.

I don't know too many people who claim Manning was good last year. Everyone knows he gravy trained to a ring.

Absolutely......But youd rather not hear some fragile nobody be the one to point it out

I agree, my point is no one really praised Manning for his last season. They praised him for his career.

Yup, Peyton himself has pretty much all but said that he rode the tails of that defense

I guess a guy who played at a high level almost all of his career and helped revolutionize the game doesn't deserve to be honored for his career? I mean does D-Will think that this press conference today was about only honoring this past season?

Some of you guys either aren't paying attention or just stupid jealous....
PM holds more records in his career than any qb in this era....
He certainly wasn't his best physically these past 2 seasons but nothing wrong with that brilliant football mind , and I guarantee the Broncos would not have won and probably wouldn't even had made the SB without him this yr....
I guess they weren't listening to Kubes said how hard he worked and how he was responsible for them being there...
Let me guess, you think he lied to appease the moment....Fools !!!!
PM made the game better, not many can say that....

Your guarantees don't mean a damn thing. The Broncos don't have home field advantage with out Brock as well. Works both ways bro.

Williams can say whatever he wants. It is a free country even though he does sound bitter. Everyone knows Denver's defense was mostly responsible for them winning the Super Bowl. Well an intelligent football fan would know. Peace.

They were losing it to SD until PM came in and saved the game....They would have had to NE with that loss, and we all know how they usually turn out....:rolleyes2:

This is my question... He stated a simple fact, which was completely unnecessary, but it was pretty narrow minded all things considered. His original tweet that sparked all the tweets from the OP:

And he's not going on a rant by himself... He's arguing with someone on twitter about all this.

I think he was speaking to the 6 games before that San Diego game. Most teams when the back up comes in completely collapse. With the Broncos they were able to keep things going. Now yes a big part of that was still we had the defense but Osweiler made some plays during our toughest stretch of the season playing both the Bengals and Patriots that helped secure things for our season.

It was just bad timing on his part. Yes we all know the obvious that Peyton was terrible this last year. The day he announces his retirement after 18 great years in the league is not exactly the moment to be pointing that out in my opinion. Just a pretty classless act. Then the fact that later on he tweeted about how he is a man with lots of class just shows the guy just doesn't know what he is doing and has a level of immaturity about him.
