A couple questions for me, how was Jake able to get a boat so quickly? What ever happened to Elliott? Last year Josh had the Cornelia Marie going why aren't they on the show this year?

These two are linked. Elliot is a heroin addict that basically got run out of the business. His boat was sold and the owner put in Jake as the captain (probably the show's producers pushed hard for this as well).

Yeah he was a co-captain, he just didn't have enough experience to run it himself.
