Just a quick question.

Why bench Slay after giving up that TD? They left him 1 on 1 vs one of the best receivers in the NFL with zero pass rush. To be honest his coverage was pretty tight, it was just a perfect throw.

i had really really high hopes for slay coming out of the draft. But man, it seems evry week we're coming up with excuses for him. I hate to say it prematurely, but another missed 2nd rd pick :/

Other than quarterback, isn't cornerback generally considered the toughest position when it comes to transitioning from college to the NFL?

Let's face it - those who are ready to call him a bust have some pretty high expectations for every draft choice. But much like Riley Reiff, who seems to have come into his own in his second year, I'm not ready to pass judgment on Darius quite yet. As with pretty much EVERY draft pick you need to look at this after three years in the league.

Would have been nice to have been able to talk about him being DROY, but that isn't happening. Hopefully, in a year or two, the talk will be about how he is an All Pro talent at his position.

Man, people sure are quick to write off rooks. He's played a half a season of football and we're expecting perfection already?

Yes, I get frustrated when I see him get beat. But he's got a lot to learn still. Gotta give him some time.

My guess is he was pulled not because he gave up a TD, but because he was confused and flailing his arms showing his frustration before he gave up the TD. And if you're writing off any player after 9 games then you probably didn't like him in the first place. I'm thinking that I'm going to give him more than 9 games before I really get concerned.
