Lawrence went light on the kid!! He shoulda went Philly style...
Too bad the skins didn’t fight like Mike did. Looks like he would’ve messed a few of them up

For God's sake someone show that kid at the 12 second mark how to throw a punch...Lawrence went light on the kid!! He shoulda went Philly style...

Sorry, but the fans aren't ENTITLED to jack or shit. You pay your money to see them or wear their gear, that's on you. If you think showing up or wearing gear means anyone should stop and give you the time of day, you need to get your head checked. Fuck that kid, he's old enough to know better than to roll into the competitions house and expect special attention. Tank wasn't signing anything for anyone. So much win in this entire situation, but if I may deconstruct one salient point:
The NFL is nothing without its fans. I'm sure their position on this would be that, if a kid comes up to you, even from another team, rocking their gear, eck settra, and asks for an autograph, then go ahead and give them the autograph.
Instead, he's now a part of a video that possibly has been spread far across the internet where knee-jerkers will condescendingly reprove his boorish mannerisms, and threaten to burn yet more NFL merch.
If you play the game, you're an ambassador for the LEAGUE, not just your particular team. If you do shit that might possibly reflect poorly on the league, they will come down on you somehow. May not be a fine, but I'm guessing he's gotten a phone call already.
well then he should have been begging a Giant for an autograph. In Dallas the players tell you get the right jersey. In Philly if you have gall to tell people that having a Sean Taylor coffin is tasteless they assault you, even if you are an NBA star.^ This.
If it's a kid (and it was), they are probably just in awe of a pro athlete... that's like a superhero to them.
With a kid: it's not the right time for a rival fan smackdown, IMO.
If we were talking about someone older (high school age or above), I'd have no problem with it... as I stated earlier.
And that was over the Eagle tailgate having a Sean Taylor coffin. So classy.Lawrence went light on the kid!! He shoulda went Philly style...
Way to smack down the kid folk in Dallas then, fordman.well then he should have been begging a Giant for an autograph. In Dallas the players tell you get the right jersey. Nah, fuck the giants and their fans. If this is the worst thing that happens to the kid then he has a great life.Dallas fan and Tank fan. Total dick move though
Wait, what???And that was over the Eagle tailgate having a Sean Taylor coffin. So classy.
Any time. It could be worse, it could have been someone like perhaps me and my wife and kid walking out of Yankee stadium last year and being followed by a couple of jabroni's telling me I was "disrespecting" them because I had a Rangers cap on. I just ignored them and kept walking as they followed us to the train.Way to smack down the kid folk in Dallas then, fordman.
Go read up on it, watch the video. The Eagle fans have a Sean Taylor coffin at their tailgate and Mike told them that was classless (as he was in a Taylor jersey). They threw down on him.Wait, what???
I hear what you're saying, and it's an accurate description of reality...Any time. If you go anywhere dressed in anther teams jersey and expect a player not from that team to stop and give you an autograph then you are just an entitled asshat. The sooner this kid learns it, or learns that is mom is more interested in a viral video than her sons well-being, the better.
Kids I believe are a different reality, but I don't know what you do for a living but suppose someone repping your competition showed up as you were walking out of your office and wanted to chat about something, or pick your brain. Would you want to stop and give him the time of day? Or would you be wanting to get the F out of there and go enjoy your evening?I hear what you're saying, and it's an accurate description of reality...
... that being said, kids **should** be a different set of rules. They're just kids.
This isn't a big deal, though... I'm just sayin'.
I'm a teacher.Kids I believe are a different reality, but I don't know what you do for a living but suppose someone repping your competition showed up as you were walking out of your office and wanted to chat about something, or pick your brain. Would you want to stop and give him the time of day? Or would you be wanting to get the F out of there and go enjoy your evening?
True, but that kid was old enough to know better and he was only doing it for his mom who just HAPPENED to be rolling film on it. She knew what she was doing.I'm a teacher.
Again, I get hating the enemy team and razzing enemy fans. That's something fans do.
I don't mind any of that, generally speaking. It's part of the fun.
My only counterpoint is: go easy on the kids. They're just kids.
If true, that is just bullshit classless Philly. WTF is wrong with those people. It's just the trash Capital of the sports worldGo read up on it, watch the video. The Eagle fans have a Sean Taylor coffin at their tailgate and Mike told them that was classless (as he was in a Taylor jersey). They threw down on him.
