I totally understand what you are saying. I'm way more than casual also and I have both the Big 10 and SEC networks. But, I don't watch Purdue/Indiana or Mizzou/Kentucky type games whatsoever. I was also surprised at A&M...along with Tennessee and Wisconsin on the "national demand" list. Not saying they don't have large followings...but don't think of them as "national" followings.
Tennessee only because of recent lighter years. Wisconsin Ive always seen up high but maybe just a peg down from the others.

because it would also include USC, Washington, UCLA, Oregon, Stanford which also includes better access to California recruiting.

Well, it's not like Texas is hurting to get into a good recruiting territory. And does saying "hey we're in a conference with USC" make up for all the money they'd be giving up?

LHN is done forever in 2025. ESPN can't afford it and no other network is dumb enough to offer the same deal to UT. Might as well join the PAC and enjoy some California sunshine 2-3 times a year. Beats the ever living fuck out of Lubbock, Waco, Lawrence, Manhattan, Stoolwater, etc.....

I thought Baylors was like 55000. and TCU is 50000.
and what about KSU and ISU?

Nah, Baylor and TCU's stadium both seat 45K. Might be 50K standing room only, but that rarely happens at either school.

True, but I think Lubbock & Stoolwater will be coming along.

Well, one of our greatest players in school history was from San Diego, so hmmmmmmm........
but how many are on the roster from California right now? imagine some of the lower ranked Texas recruits could be replaced by higher ranked California recruits

Very true. Forgot about that. BU and TCU are shit out of luck.....Ann Richards ain't here to save baylor this time.

Honestly a southwest division with Texas, tech, ou, okie light, Az, ASU, and the two throwaways (Colorado & Utah) will be fun.

Works for me. Been saying it all along. I'd love to be in the Pac. Especially if Baylor gets left out in the cold. That happens, the party is at my house!

Pac fans, how does the pac network work? I know their is 1 main network, but isn't their also a network that pairs two schools each?

Sign me up, I'm in. Even though CU students are the biggest douchebags in the country, Boulder was always a cool town to go to. Ahhh, Scottsdale/Tempe every other year.....

and with that I say play 9 conference games. 7 division and 2 non. and rotate through the regions. PNW, Cali, BigXII 4 and MountDesert. play 1 from each every 2 years.

so for example Oregon could play Arizona and Oklahoma State for 2 years 1 home 1 away. flip in the second year. then play Texas and Utah for 2
then Oklahoma and Colorado for 2
and then Texas Tech and AZ st for 2.
only problem is the time it takes to get through all of them.
could go 1 year and play all in 4 and then do it over again and flip it home and away in years 5-8

I'd rather see the old PAC-8 in the same division ... just like old times before the two Zona schools joined.

me too plus it seems more balanced East West than it does North South
