Polak was not so terrible.

As long as Polak stays in his game, he is serviceable.

I cringed when he rushed the puck in deep (3rd period I believe).

They are showing flashes of dominating the play, hoping this will become the norm as they get more experience and confidence.

Polak was not so terrible.

It's a pretty good matchup for him in that the Kings are not a high flying transition offense but a heavy, grinding one. I don't think the timing of the signing was a coincidence.

That being said, the Kings didn't look terribly slow last night either.

I rarely see them, but that guy last night was atrocious. I cannot think of one correct statement he made all night, starting with the "Hyman shouldered Quick in the head" nonsense.

Marner has points in only 1 of his past 8 games. Marleau only in 2 of his last 7. Roast the defence all you want but they’re getting nothing offensively from anywhere other than the top line save Kadri, who is always great.

Not for nothing, and it doesn’t excuse a stinker like that but a 2 day turnaround from Saturday night home game to Monday-Tuesday West Coast back-to-back games is some kinda special schedule fuckery.
