I'm cool with it for next year. I agree that it would screw things up at this point in the season though.
I think if you look hard enough you can find some decent free agents though. Aside from my quarterbacks, one wide receiver and my keeper running back my team is all free agents or trades from players I took as a free agent. I got snakebit on running backs in the draft (two blown knees and a dismissal) so I had to pick up guys based on how the season went. It's a bit of patchwork but I have 3 legit starters for their team and another who is the best back on a solid roster. I got lucky and took a flyer on the kid from West Virginia who is the top wide receiver in fantasy right now. DST and kicker I rotate so any given week it's a new person there.
Something I'd like to try and I don't know if there is interest but it seems like fun. Full draft where all P5 and G5 teams are available. You draft 25-30 rounds and eliminate FA pickups. Your team is your team. There is enough depth to overcome injuries and bye weeks. It's true to the college experience.
would trades still be allowed
