I loved Gotcha.

Loved the Less Than Zero soundtrack too.

I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali. Going back to Cali. MAN, I don't think so.

Agreed! 'Vision Quest' soundtrack is also good.

/Both movies starring Linda Fiorentino (smokin' hot).
And she was a spy from Pittsburgh. ;)

Aw, man, now I'm getting all these nostalgic flashbacks...how 'bout Some Kind of Wonderful? Loved that soundtrack too.

How about the "Valley Girl" soundtrack? A little Plimsouls on a Friday afternoon?

I am a HUGE fan of 80's soundtracks.

trick-or-treat-1986-accurate.jpg

1986: the movie featured Ozzy Osbourne, gene Simmons, and Skippy from Family Ties.
soundtrack was mainly 'Fastway', but it was pretty great.

my fave was probably

hmmm... Blues Brothers, and Purple Rain though.
and Against All Odds (yes, the Phil Collins tune, but it also featured a lot of Larry Carlton)
Paris Texas (heavy on the Ry Cooder)
Does Maximum Overdrive count? basically an excuse for an AC/DC hits album

looks like it will be a 'listening to 80's music" day

When I was a kid I really liked the ending theme to WKRP.

I've been trying to find the sheet music for that for years
No luck yet. Opening theme is fine, but no one has the ending

No sheet music, but this guy does a pretty good job on the closing theme...

John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band. They did all the music in the Eddie & the Cruisers flicks. Good stuff. For some reason Cafferty got compared to Bruce Springsteen. I've never been a fan of Springsteen because I don't think he can sing.

Best 80's soundtracks:

Nighthawks - Keith Emerson doing the score
The Falcon And The Snowman - Pat Metheny doing the score
Fandango - Various artists

/meh, I'm totally biased. lol
