They keep letting the perfect be the enemy of the good.

I get that the progressive wing wants everything and a good chunk of the electorate do as well but throwing away chances to get some wins because you're not getting all the victories is the kind of shit that costs you down the road. Your party isn't 100% socialist, but luckily they aren't 100% fucking crazy either so hurry up and work with them before you lose all power and the crazies get another go at it.

The counterpoint is that once the bill passes, they lose a ton of negotiating leverage to get those things they want, that people desperately need. As long as they have something to hold up to hold out for more stuff, they can get more stuff. Once a bill passes, and the stuff they're holding up goes through, what's the negotiating chip? You've just punted on all of it.

Dale Earnhardt was going to show up but he got really tired as the day went on. I guess you could say he hit the wall.

VA was always gonna be tight but most polls had Murphy up 5-10 points in NJ and right now it’s too close to call.

Democrats are lucky this isn’t a midterm year. They need to get their shit together fast.

When they have spent the better part of the last 5 months working on a bill that would give more blue collar jobs, more teachers, better schools, a better environment and other things that somewhere between 70 and 80% of the country actually wants, got it through the house and have it stall in the senate and their message is "these two Democrats blew it for you" and never once mentioned "these 50 Republicans don't want your life to get better" - they were always going to lose.

The Nixon Southern Strategy combined with Reagan's pretending to care about the single issue voters have led to a dead set red 40% guaranteed vote base. The kind of pants on head retarded people who will go stand in the rain in Dallas to wait for the return of someone who has been dead for 21 years. Republican's strategy each election just has to be to trick another 11% and they win (where they can't gerrymander a guaranteed win). Democrats telling that 11% that 2 Democrats are the ones to blame for something big like the infrastructure bill is handing that to them and more.

Democrats need to take the gloves off and start punching. Otherwise we are forever stuck in a pendulum. Swing a little right, swing a little left, swing a little right, etc

All that said, Democrats should start screaming "Voter Fraud" and push for countless recounts and audits just so Republicans will have to defend election integrity.

This.

Poor messaging and especially in VA the candidate was unlikable and didn't even care to try and reach out to certain areas. To the point it gives off a sense of arrogance that we will win "just because".

Say what you want, but you have to respect their ability to get shirts and flags printed so fast.

Not their ability to know what year it is, it seems.
