Anderson would be a good get if Barry gives him enough money for a top knotch offensive coordinator.

Utah St is hot.

It depends on how much Barry ends up wanting to make.....................beings that he will end up being thee coach

You don't advise decent assistants to look out for themselves if you're planning to be next the head coach.

You assume the next head coach is gonna bring his own guys.

What do you guys think Barry is willing to pay a coach?

Bielema made $2.6 Million. I think that will be about what we pay if we get Andersen or Tucker. If Petersen wanted to leave (and I don't think he does), I could see us approaching the $4 Million figure. We are #10 or so in athletic department revenues and #15 in football revenue. There's no reason can't pay a huge fee.

Hard to believe Peterson would turn down $4 million. But that's me, and he seems to be content where he is.

I think Anderson would be worth the risk at $2.6 million. IF given good resources for a proven O-coordinator.

The Badger Beat Reporter for the Wisconsin State Journal (Madison paper) is tweeting that Andersen is the guy. It sounds like there could be an announcement in the next 24 hours.

Other reports are saying that Andersen's contact was preliminary and he isn't interested, but none of those guys are as close to the program as Mulhern.

Petersen is waiting for Kelly to bolt for NFL and he'll go to Oregon. He's a West coast guy and he did turn down 4 mil per (20 over 5 years) from UCLA last year.

According to the Alvarez/Anderson press conference, Alvarez only talked to three other guys face to face, and the only person who got an offer was Gary Anderson.
