CJ doesn't know for sure wither yet. The oddity is he is not in pain , seeking a 3rd opinion and should have a diagnosis later this afternoon.

This really sucks, but can't wait to see what Devonte Booker can do.

Actually it has not been determined that he will be out for the year. He is going on IR but until they get in and see the extent of the damage they will not know if the recovery time will be 6-8 weeks or closer to 12 weeks. If the damage is on the lower end he could return for a game or two of the regular season then hopefully for a playoff run.

Uh oh......that sucks seriously. I wanted a healthy Denver team when we square off.

Well I think you guys will get to know our rookie Booker very well. He has been down right impressive this year and honestly I would say our better RB. For some reason CJ Anderson is a guy that can't stay consistent. He almost does his best work when the team is down on him or people are starting to question what he is doing. So at this point Booker has provided the bigger spark and more consistent quality running of the two. Which I can see in Booker averaging 4.8 yards per carry and Anderson only averaging 4.0 yards per carry this year. Anderson though is a big blow I would say more so in the passing game as his blocking and receiving ability are down right impressive. Just have to see how this changes things moving forward.

Now what is up with BMarsh? DC? Is he also injured? Hammy?

I saw one rumor that Denver could trade for Darren McFadden, he was a killer for Dallas last year and he's 3rd on their depth chart so he should be really fresh if we did get him.

I'm not DC but yes Marshall has a hamstring injury. He has actually been fighting it for a bit from what I understand but it really flared up towards the end of the game. It doesn't sound like anything that should keep him out longer than a week though and maybe not even that. Right now the team is planning on him testing it tomorrow at practice and seeing how it responds. So he might miss a week.

He has actually been dealing with injuries most of the season as well. Hurt his elbow slipping on the cement around a pool this summer so missed a lot of time. So yes should be fresh and I think the injury is fully healed.

There are some outside options for the Broncos to consider. My top choice would be Karlos Williams if he has lost some of the weight he put on this off season. In a back up role last year he rushed 93 times for 517 yards and a 5.6 yard average. He scored 7 touchdowns as a back up which is usually unheard of. He also was a pretty good receiver and has good size to do well as a pass blocking option. Again comes down to his weight issues though and he was suspended for 4-games to start the season. So definitely some baggage but for a short term fix not sure there is better out there.

CJ Spiller was just released by Seattle and gives us a possible Kick Off Return specialist and that speed guy we have been missing a bit this year. Few issues with him though of injury history, been on and off teams this year, hasn't averaged 4 yards or more per carry in 3 seasons, and isn't very good in the pass blocking department.

Of course you always have the option of just promoting Juwann Thompson from the Practice Squad. This is the most likely answer as he has been in our system, is decent in all areas you need out of a RB, and is a great special teams player.

There are some other options that I wouldn't mind the Broncos looking at like Bishop Sankey or David Cobb that were early draft picks in the past that just haven't panned out. They would at least be worth bringing in for a try out.

Has Hilman even got any touches in Minnesota ? Might be option.

He has 1 carry for -6 yards. So not a great opportunity for him there. So definitely an option as he does know the system. Usually in these types of situations if you are looking outside the organization you are looking for players that have played in a similar system. Justin Forsett might be another option as obviously his best season by far was with Kubiak at the helm. So definitely some options if the Broncos want to make a trade or even hit FA. My guess still is that Juwann Thompson gets promoted. I know they really like the kid and especially appreciate his work on special teams.

Yeah I like Juwan anyway and think he fills the need just fine. Having Janovich playing big role also helps because Thompson can play halfback as well and we still have the FB without missing a beat. Denver is actually pretty fortunate after losing their #1 rb , and still have quality guys behind him. Some teams are in bad shape if their number 1 goes down. Just need the O line to keep getting better as season goes. Bibbs in to spell Booker intrigues me as well. :)

You and I both have been pretty high on Bibbs even before this season so yeah very excited to see what he brings to the team. I think like you that some people might be a little surprised out how well our run game continues. Really to me more than anything this last week was the return of Stephenson and Green to being healthy really made a big difference. We finally saw some big holes especially to the right side open up. They had so much success earlier in the year before they went down with injury but then when you are trying to have a hobbled Sambrailo come in it just did not look good. So yeah I expect our OL if they can stay healthy to finally start to gel a little bit. I don't think they will ever be recognized as a great unit but even an average unit is an upgrade over what we had last year.
