Heard a pretty good line re: the Joe West suspension from Around-the-Horn....."West's penalty was a lifetime achievement award."
I agree with you.Last year it seemed this board was more on board with Nicholas.
i give him credit for a very good game but will still have to see a lot more before i would pick up his 2018 6M optionWhen credit is due....give it. Good job today Martin Perez
You amaze me. Gallo is only one reason to watch. Watching Mazara developing is enjoyable to me and I guess you wouldn't find Beltre worth much as he becomes one of the greatest hitters of all time. Watching baseball in general is a reason too if you're a avid fan. Another reason is watching young players coming up like Guzman and anyone else seeking a career in MLB. Yep, you are amazing.Joey Gallo is the only reason to watch the rest of this season.
That guy is kicking ass lately.
Was not talking about 2018 contract but thanks for your take on it.i give him credit for a very good game but will still have to see a lot more before i would pick up his 2018 6M option
He is only one reason to be watching the Rangers. There are many other reasons to watch.Joey Gallo is the only reason to watch the rest of this season.

Good observation Bennie.I wonder if we would be getting to enjoy Joey's fine season had not Adrian been hurt and been hurt for so long. Otherwise Joey might have suffered the same intermittent-at-best playing time when he was called up at times like Profar and Rua had to face. Beltre's injury may be the overwhelming reason why Joey succeeds as a Ranger instead of on another team. That WBC may be worthwhile after all.

He picked it, so it has some sort of significance.

I guess we pretty much have to peg him as a #5 with an upside of a bad #3 or a #4.Well, exactly who's going to take the hill for your Rangers next season if Perez isn't on the team? As far as I can see we've got Hamels under contract and that's about it.
I've, for the most part, been disappointed with Martin. But, and it's a big but, he'll turn 27 at the start of next season, and many a pitcher has come around in their mid to late 20's. So I'm not willing to just walk away from a guy who still shows upside, granted at times, but upside none-the-less.
