Game Thread: Canada Vs USA - winner plays for gold

I kid you not, I get a break and go to lunch and the restaraunt had the game on. Great! After about two minutes of game play the picture freezes and becomes pixilated and stays that way until right as I leave. Not my day to watch....

That sounds like my TV service on every channel every day...

I have zero reason to cheer FOR Sweden. Obviously you do with the King back there. I also would be shocked if Sweden wins. They got a realllllly easy draw in comparison. Getting past the Fins was big, but no Rask makes it less impressive to me.

Yeah, I've been pulling for Canada in every event the USA had no chance of winning, and this will be no exception. Of course, I want the USA to crush Finland in an angry bronze medal match.

Congrats to Canada. Their defense was the difference. Team USA couldn't get any second chances. Nor could they get any odd man rushes. Heck they really didn't penetrate the slot. Very disappointing offensive performance. The credit for that goes to Canada.

I can easily see the US slacking in the Bronze game for falling short of their goal.

If they slack at all with a medal on the line they didn't deserve a gold anyway.


Sweden plays a different style than Canada and US do. It will be interesting to see which one works best Sunday. And tomorrow actually. Finland and Sweden are very similar except Sweden has smoother skaters.
