I find Canada looks slow out there, particularly the D. I expected guys like Dumba and Pouliot to be dominating in a game like this and they look pretty bad, IMO.

This isn't on the refs if you ask me. Still got the third to straighten this thing out though.

Staple Leier, Bigras and Gauthier to the bench and let the guys who are contributing play, Butter.



P.S. This isn't the dub Hockey Canada. You need to pick guys with elite skills and not just cherry pick guys from the WHL. Leier is flat out not good enough to be playing for Canada on this stage. Bring an elite PKer or a couple of guys who can just fly. The thinking of the braintrust of this team needs to change or we're going to be looking at the podium more often than we'll be standing on it.

And yes Dash... I am extremely sick of seeing Butter behind the bench.

I guess its hard to tell when there is so much PP time going on. but I thought they controlled the play but a stupid penalty (soft or warranted) takes the flow out of them. they have flashes of brilliance at times but they are few are far between

I don't know if talent is the issue for Canada, I don't think they have the grit and the desire like past teams

one thing I do know is that the youth of other countries have really caught up in talent and in coaching. that is a big part of it

Yeah, and for example, looking at Team Canada, they have some really inexperienced guys it seems, like Connor McDavid for example - I know he's extremely talented but I wonder if experience is something that Canada needs to have a little more of
