It was one game. See if the kid bounces back (which I am pretty sure he will) and see if the Eagles finish with the best record still. Like it or not, MVP voters always take into account the teams success in these things. And yes, Wentz is still a very likely contender for the award but December games also tend to carry some extra weight.
However, I do agree that Brady is likely the front runner at the moment.

Wentz is the greatest to ever play... he will lead the eagles to multiple SB wins and cure cancer one day.

Of course you do.

It's killing you having to mention him as a legit MVP contender isn't it:nod:

You say he sucks

And start whining that I agree

is Wentz as good as the media makes him out to be? No, but they do this with every young QB in his 1st or 2nd year who shows glimpses of possibly being great.

think about the non-stop coverage of guys like RG3, Vince Young, mark sanchez, etc.

They are always looking for the next great QB to hype up

We will have to see if Wentz plays in this league for many years and gets better and better. He's only in his 2nd season.

The guys been absolutely dominating this year and leads the NFL in TDS, wins 9 straight and now he’s Jeff George after 1 loss. Hilarious brother.
Yeah, and when he finally plays a good team on the road he gets destroyed. Look at who the eagle have beaten. The NFC East is a joke this season with the giants, Cowboys and skins weakened severely by injuries and suspensions. Then consider all of the rest of the scrubs. Wentz could not beat a seahawk team missing it's two best defensive players!! Lol

Carson Wentz

Yes, Wentz missed badly on a couple of throws last night, but he also made an improbable throw as he was nearly sacked as well. His fumble that went out for a touchback hurt badly, but to say he is not worthy is laughable. Seattle is a very tough place to get a win period. Anyway, the MVP is way too early o be mentioned now.

He's still on track for a shot at it, but losing to Wilson head to head sure don't help.

I actually do like the Wilson for MVP argument just because the Seahawks are not far off from the Russell Wilson and friends at this point. Tom Brady, Wentz, and Smith (lol) all have oodles of help offensively.
He'd be my choice.

It's like their Oline is designed to suck. Bold strategy, but he makes it work.

Well, that was his worst game of the year. But I think saying he is not an MVP candidate based on his worst game is a little silly. Let's see how he responds before writing him off.

I think a case can definitely be made for Wilson though. The guy is playing at an incredible level. He made plays last night no other QB in the NFL makes. The Eagles pass rush gets to almost everyone, but they were running around frustrated all night due to Wilson.
He looked much worse against Dallas.

They just dropped interceptions and had no offense so they lost. But he wasn't good.

Wentz will still almost certainly be mvp because his improvement has correlated directly with that of the eagles, and along the way he has risen to stardom.

Brady won't win any mvps unless he throws about 45 touchdowns (not happening), just because the standards Brady is held to are beyond what normal superstar qbs can achieve. If the mvp were a fair award, Brady might win it every year AND belichick would be coach of the yesr every year.

Wilson won't ever be mvp because his style of qbing still looks too funny, he still isn't thought of as a great example for how to play the position, and quite frankly even after this win the Seahawks aren't going to finish with a good enough record

YPA? How about the 15 other stats he’s #1 in.
I know TDs, but what are the other 14?

Personally i think Wentz is having a great year, but not a league MVP year as of today. But, he is close enough that this could change in the next month. TBD

If the Eagles lose to the Rams this week, and the Saints and Vikings win, the Eagles will drop all the way to the 4 seed.
