I wouldn't mind a little trash talk if it was from people who had established themselves as allied to the common cause. There's a Brewers fan who posts here Packerzrule ... nice banter we have with him. The deal is that most fans who don't troll are a lot like most of us ... it serves no positive purpose.

The thing about these immature brats is they think they are getting away with something. They are annoying people and they go tell their "friends" how they have the entire Reds fan base up in arms over the "facts" about baseball. They aren't smart enough to know that a sports forum has, at most, a half-dozen active participants. The other 2.4 million fans aren't even reading this stuff.

But their childish behavior will endure because they think their "friends" are happy they're doing it. The troll named Rams99 used to brag on the Birds boards about he was needling the Reds fans. Most of the Birds fans thought he was an ignorant troll, too.

This latest incarnation of immaturity will have the same effect. Even the Birds fans have this jasonhart on "ignore" status here on the Hoop.

I learned the error of my ways, decided to not respond to asinine comments by producing asinine comments of my own. It wasn't fun after awhile and I learned to s.t.f.u. That's where I am with it. I was generally pretty civil last summer until a couple of jerks prodded me. I fell for it. I won't spend another baseball season embroiled in that sort of childishness. That's where I am. This is the last stop for me on baseball forums. The CBS boards were annoying.
