1. Saying a guy isn't top 5 (or close to it) all time isn't mocking him.
2. I don't think it's even remotely likely that Kaepernick will surpass Elway.

And 1st-ballot HOFer doesn't necessarily mean top-5 QB of all time either. Doesn't even necessarily mean top 10.

I would as well but 2 weeks is long enough. If they hadn't won the Super Bowl I wouldn't even worry about it. They did, though, and this avi bet is no longer of any significance to them.

Do what you feel is right but if the shoe were on the other foot, I would easily let them off without hesitation.

Way back, when John Elway,(aka horseface) was losing superbowls, he was kicking the seahawks ass on the way. Almost every season. At that time, yeah, they lost a few, but seattle fans were still bummed by never getting to that game.
It really sucks to lose a superbowl. But not as much as never getting there. Denver had a great team back then as they do now.

I would take a 2-5 record in the Super Bowl.

It has to be a bit embarrassing to get hammered like that (the one time my team made it the game was over at halftime), but I'd much rather see my team in the Super Bowl getting beat than not in the game at all.
