Clayton Kershaw is on the DL, apparently for a few weeks, and now Brian Wilson is about to join him with nerve irritation in his elbow.

The Dodgers are certainly off to a bad start in the pitching department, as far as injuries are concerned, so we will see just how much depth the Dodgers have and just how good it is.

Cross fingers that Billingsley and Beckett will both return soon and do good things. I don't have a lot of faith in Haren and Maholm.

At least it's early in the season. I hope Wilson will be on his game down the stretch and the post season. Two T. John surgeries and some age setting in as well. Keep fingers crossed on him.

There is some speculation that the shortened ST may be leading to pitchers' injuries. Perhaps there is some merit to the argument. Brian Wilson said he wasn't ready to start the season.

Perhaps these ventures out of the country should take place after the regular season is under way. Perhaps MLB is sacrificing player well-being for the sake of promoting the game abroad.

There seem to have been a lot of pitching injuries throughout MLB this spring, but I do believe the shortened ST was not a good thing. In addition to Kershaw and Wilson, I think it is partly to blame for the poor hitting from the middle of the lineup. The players, especially the older ones, just weren't ready. The good news is that in spite of this, the Dodgers are now 4-1. Haren was surprisingly good last night. We're off to a good start. The Giants will be a good test.

You're right, Old......the Giants will be a good test. If their pitching rebounds and guys like Pagan and Sandoval stay healthy, they are going to be a real challenge.

It's nice to see Kemp coming back, but I won't be surprised to see him back on the DL soon. The guy just can't stay healthy.

Hopefully he proves me wrong. A healthy Matt Kemp would be huge for the Dodgers.

Looks like you guys just lost AJ Ellis to knee surgery. Kind of a big hit to team? Who is your back up?

Back up is probably going to be Fed-X, though, Miguel Olivo is another possibility.

Dodgers are definitely hurting at the position.

It's not thaaaat big of a hit. AJ Ellis is great at managing the pitching staff and is half-decent on defense, but he's one of the worst catchers in MLB when it comes to framing pitches and his hitting hasn't been all that great lately.

It's not like the Dodgers are losing Yadier Molina or something.

Brian Wilson is back from the DL, but unfortunately, Paco was sent down and the Dodgers kept League. While I understand the reason behind sending Paco out, I can only hope that the a Dodgers bite the bullet and send League packing. Obviously, Honeycutt can't help him and he can't seem to help himself.

If the Dodgers use him in blowouts they shouldn't be hurt by League's incompetency.

Brian Wilson looked okay yesterday. If Jansen continues to keep us on the edge of our seats we might see Wilson, from time to time, coming in for a Save opportunity.

Brian Wilson is throwing around 92-94 but is really struggling with his control. His struggles are becoming a problem. Let's hope he gets things turned around.
