Well this just seems to me to drive the price of Osweiler possibly right out of Denver.

Seems like a pretty good contract for the Eagles. It's only 2 years and they are only on the hook for 26 million over those 2 years if he's cut after this year.

Even if they draft someone there is a high risk that he will take time to develop or not pan out.

Exactly, why not make this move? Makes total sense for the time being. I'm actually surprised they got him to stay there.

It is but you can just point to Bradford's record, injury history or YPA or TD to INT ratio. Not a lot of good to look it.

That said, I think with a good receiving corp he can be average. He still hasn't had one of those.

As are all analytic stats. Passer rating is a made up number. It's just been around longer.

While its not a great stat either at least passer rating is based on statistics, QBR is based on opinion and will be a completely different number depending on who is evaluating the QB

Hopefully they put some serious injury clauses in the contract. I'd say he's close to a top 20 QB when healthy though.
