In just casually looking through records, MOST coaches are not too hot against ranked teams, to be fair to both Holgorsen and Huggins. The main differences I see between the two is that Huggins teams compete in most every game, and he has taken WVU to places that matter.

Honestly, why would anyone think that it is more impressive to receive a college basketball ranking over football? Sheer numbers are irrelevant... absolutely irrelevant. Most of Div 1 basketball is low majors and mid majors. The disparity in talent is outstanding between the major conferences and those below. This is why a conference like the Big 12 can have 6 or 7 teams make the dance while low majors get the winner of their tourney.

Just because a high school class has 500 students doesn't guarantee all 500 are outstanding students. If we're looking at some inbred consolidated high school in southern WV, you might have a dozen of them who can even read when they graduate.

It is AMAZING the lengths some will go in making excuses for a less than great football coach..........I laugh my ass off as you guys try to tear down a highly respected, future HOF basketball coach to justify your love for Holgorsen...hilarious

Whose trying to tear down Huggy? I put out the numbers that someone requested. I just ask that for a FHOFHC, he should be able to get the team past the Sweet 16 or possibly his FHOF status has his team ranking overinflated.

As far as playing a ranked team twice would only pertain to in conference and still there is no guarantee that the team is still ranked. It’s a shame that our FHOFHC has a similar percentage to our football HC according to their records while at WVU.
