Actually I'm wrong it does not have the back strap says it would make the gun too thick so they left that option off. I was surprised because they look like they have the interchangeable back strap on the guns.

Me neither, but I like the concept for concealed carry. And very much liked how the two Shields I fired handled.

If they would make a Shield with a slightly longer grip and a 4" barrel I would definitely be one of the 4 people who bought one. I'm a bit outside the box in regards to concealed carry if you can't tell.

I do really like the M&P. I carried one for almost two years. A full sized 9. Very soft shooting. A lot of the full size 9mm variants seem to suffer from accuracy issues and this seems to be mostly due to tolerance stacking. The 40/45 don't seem to have that issue and IMHO the design really shines as a 45. The M&P45 and 45c are two of the softest shooting and accurate 45's you will find for under $600.

The range I go to had a sale and the M&P .45C was on sale for $489 so I broke down and bought one. I really like it the only thing is that it is a little more cumbersome to break down then my Glock 19 but it was just as accurate.

Size wise there is practically no difference in size between the Glock 19 and M&Pc just a difference in how much the clips hold basically.

Going to break down eventually and get an Apex trigger (which I tried on someone else's gun) but to me the trigger wasn't too bad.

I have pretty bad tendinitis in both shoulders and because of an accident that screwed up my back my arm strength is weak.. I was So disappointed... I've been wanting that gun for 3 years now

I chose the Springfield 1911 Range Officer.
Then I checked the MA compliant list, guess who doesn't participate?
Springfield. Went with the Sig 1911XO. Love it. Just added a Ruger Redhawk to the collection last week.

I really like the M&P45c.

Love the Glock 19-size guns. Just the perfect balance. I can and have carried full size guns and I don't have a problem with that. It's more the balance and feel of a cco-size gun that calls to me. It's one of the main reasons that I eventually bought a CZ P-07.

I feel the same and read several reviews where the people (much more knowledgable then me) couldn't really tell any accuracy differences in the .45C and the standard .45 so why not get the smaller one in case I want to conceal carry. Besides I have been taking my 13 year old daughter and my wife to the range and the smaller guns are easier for them to handle.

The 13 year old is a natural she is all over the target from 5 yards out so we are moving to 10 yards next week to make it more challenging.

Very nice. My 16 year old daughter loves my SIG C3 1911 CCO and she's dead-nuts with it too. So much so that since I've transitioned from that to the P-07 I'll probably give it to her some day.

I enjoy shooting my Mini-14 (stainless steel) SKS and Winchester 30 30.

I also have an old Remington "Nylon 66" .22 and .45 cal pistol

This M&P .45C is awesome both me and my 13 year old daughter love it and both of us are more accurate with it than the Glock 19 that I own. Can't recommend it enough.

The M&P series guns are a very high value line of guns. They lend themselves well to shooters being proficient with them quickly. Very soft shooting. I still miss my M&P9FS. Maybe I'll pick up a 45c at some point.

Lotsa' good stuff out there for a decent price. The Glock 26 is what I'm considering and will shoot it with the pros in the next couple weeks.

Bought one a pro crimson carry 2, a few months ago, green laser. Retails for about $1300 i think and I got it for a wholesale discount from a buddy for $1100 w tax, brand new. Ive only put 150, or so rounds through it, but i like it. Plenty of knock down, I carry it in my truck and as my concealed carry. Its about the perfect size for me, as I wasn't crazy about the Glock 23 I had as my carry weapon. Kimber makes a damn fine firearm

You like the green laser better than red?

I had a Kimber Ultra Carry II a while back that was for the most part reliable though it did hang up on a few Golden Sabers (the only HP I run in 1911 designs because of the narrow cone and common feeding issues). I think Kimbers are some of the nicest finished firearms that come off of any production line. Whether they are worth their money or not is up to the buyer and market.

Generally speaking I stay away from anything with less than a 4" barrel though and with the 1911 design it can be hit or miss on the reliability front when you go below 4. If you get a good one they seem to work well as long as you don't run it hard or too often.
