I just evaluated the rest of their schedule and I think both go 11-1 at least while Ole Miss can go 12-0

Here is the rest of the schedule for both schools

Mississippi State

@ Kentucky
VS Arkansas
VS UT Martin
@ Bama
VS Vandy
@ Ole Miss

The only game I see them possibly losing before the showdown with Ole Miss is obviously the road game in Bama

Ole Miss

VS Tennessee
@ LSU
VS Auburn
VS Presbyterian
@ Arkansas
VS Mississippi State

Road games against LSU & Arkansas can be trap games before big home games against Auburn & Mississippi State. If they don't overlook LSU or Arkansas, I think they go 12-0

Thoughts?

I don't think it will happen. They will have already played each other, so if they both get put in the playoff, that pretty much says the regular season doesn't count. That's not the message the committee wants to send especially in the first year of playoffs. This is the same reason why FSU and ND can't both make the playoffs.

Nah, man...they're having fun now but nobody really believes they can both win 11 games. They're bound to have a slip up game (or two) somewhere along the way, the division is just too tough.

While I'd be delighted for one of them to get in, no way two teams, not only from the same conference but the same division, should ever get in. I think preference should be given to conference champions, since almost by definition, a team that didn't win its conference is inferior to the one that did. Otherwise why have a conference to begin with? Hey with 10 d-1 conferences and several excellent independents, too many will already get left out.

If Baylor and TCU both go undefeated the rest of the way, does anyone really want to see both of those teams in the playoffs.

@ Bama
@ Ole Miss

@ LSU
vs. Auburn

I agree on Mississippi State but disagree on Ole Miss. I think they go 11-1 or 12-0

12-0 and lose in the SEC title game to Georgia lol

I believe everyone in the west ends the reg season with at least 1 loss. they each have at least 2 tough road games remaining

I give Ole Miss the best shot to go unbeaten because their tough games are at home unless LSU really improves before their game

I know he has been good of late but I don't trust bo. I love the rest of their team though
