Maybe? I'm more worried about the WRs he was covering on a regular basis. Covering the 2nd best player on every offense in college to covering the best player on an NFL team is a massive jump.

If Conley was in the game last year he was on the top receiver, not Lattimore. When Ohio State was struggling covering the slot last year it was Conley coombs moved into the nickel to help. Watch the Clemson game and see who is covering Mike Williams. 6 catches for 96 isn't shut down but ill take it for a high first round receiver (and Conley did pick off a ball from Watson to Williams)

Hmm, thats odd that Lattimore was the consensus top guy then.

Just saw his Michigan game and it wasn't very good. I think the only breakup I saw was due to pass interference though in his defense he was lined up right at the line of scrimmage.

He wasn't challenged much in the Oklahoma game. He did make 1 good play but it was also a bad throw. Not much to go off there so I cant knock what he did.

The Clemson game is interesting. Williams falls down and Conley gets the easy INT in one. Watson misses an easy TD to Williams when Williams beats Conley deep later on. He then gets beat on a pick play but gets safety help and Watson gets picked off again. There is another incident where he runs into a Clemson player and they both fall down. There is a play where he blitzes Watson with a clean shot, hits him and Watson shrugs him off.

There is a lot of agility there but not sure about the strength, top speed and coordination. I can't imagine the NFL will have him right at the line of scrimmage, though, so I think he should be good enough. The fact that he was actually the main CB does help the argument for the Raiders a bit.
