Well in this case, technically he is. The rule states that you cannot do anything to simulate a snap count. He even admitted to it, saying that they do that to change formations. So all you have to do to get around the rule is say that it is how you audible your D? We should change our defensive audibles to "Hut!" and see how well that goes over.

At the end of the day, this was blown way out of proportion by the media. Like HuskerOC said, Pelini answered a question from a reporter and maybe talked about it for 20 seconds. It's not the reason we lost, and no one is gonna say that it is.
