Watched the first 2 eps tonight.

Meh.

The pacing is so slow, it is really hard to get grabbed.

That said, I HATE John. I think we are supposed to dislike him, but I am not sure if it is just me, or what. Kevin is half-wit. Meg is self-destructive.

Great casting on the kid, though. He looks a lot like Mendohlson.

I'm not sure how you can hate John. The Rayburns kind of remind me of the Soprano family, the lead character is smart and cunning, the rest of the family is fucking useless.

I did too at first, but when you see what a piece of garbage his Dad was, useless waste of space his Mom is, and the degenerates they surrounded him with growing up...that chip on his shoulder and the attitude that goes with it became a lot more bearable.

True. What makes this show so good is that you can feel bad for Danny given how big a piece of shit his dad was, but at the same time I think John drowning him was a just ending. I still can't understand why people seem to be hating on John when everyone else around him is a fuck up.

So Meg became a new person and blew the family off.

Kevin goes to prison (presumably for life?)

John gets off scott free, but MIGHT tell Noah everything.

Sally is left with no family and essentially penniless. Who was the priest she was confessing to? When Ozzie went to church to talk to him (??), it appeared the real priest was saying he didn't exist.

Eric gets out of jail? (Do the Feds know that Kevin is the real killer?)

Why did Ozzie kill himself?

I hate dream episodes. It breaks the integrity of everything you know about the show. Was the whole thing just some nitrous-induced phantasy in John's head?

I will give the show as a whole a 6.5/10

I can kinda forgive a dream episode if it is filler. But the leadup to the series finale?

Makes no sense.
