I find these two particular teams rather fascinating.

Team A:
SOS: 13
Non Conf SOS: 13
Record vs. 1-25 in RPI: 1-7
Record vs 26-50 in RPI: 2-1
Record vs. 51-100 in RPI: 5-4
Record vs. 101+ in RPI: 10-0
7-9 Road/Neutral Record

Team B:
SOS: 16
Non Conf SOS: 46
Record vs. 1-25 in RPI: 1-7
Record vs. 26-50 in RPI: 2-2
Record vs. 51-100 in RPI: 4-1
Record vs. 101+ in RPI: 12-1
9-6 Road/Neutral Record

These resumes seem to be comparable, but you wouldn't think that based off of bracket projections.

Team A has to be Wake Forest. If it isn't, then there is a team out there with a damn near identical resume to the Deacs.

I won't say if it is or isn't but how do you think Team A's stacks up with Team B's?

They are just about identical resumes. I think they both are NCAA Tournament worthy resumes. Both have 3 Top 50 wins. Team A doesn't have any bad losses, while Team B has one. Team B has 2 more wins away from the home court. Really close, but I'd give Team A a SLIGHT advantage.

Same Top 50 wins, 0 bad losses (compared to 1), a slightly better SOS and a better non-conference SOS. Really close call, though.

Thanks for the input. I too think it's really, really close. I'll give some time for others to give their opinions and then reveal the two teams.

It's insane. Team A's conference has proved this year that it is the strongest from top to bottom, yet team A is barely getting in. Team B's conference is getting only 5 teams in the tourney, yet they are firmly in. Team A has even played almost twice as many games against top 100 RPI than Team B has.

One is considered a lock(single digit seed), the other in squarely on the bubble.

Team A has played 20 games against top 100 opposition.
Team B has played 17 games against top 100 opposition.

Yeah, I just realized I looked at the 51-100 RPI wrong. I thought it was 1-100 RPI.

I think I know team B as well.

I actually do think I would slightly lean them

But yeah it's way closer then brackets indicate and if I'm right, it's a team that's safety has perplexed me a bit for a while now
