Odor hasn't done that in well over a year, his leash should be short

I think he gets his opportunity until Andrus returns but that's about it if he doesn't show any attempt at getting his shit together

Profar isn't getting the results in regards to average but he is 2nd on the team in walks and makes a pitcher work like crazy. Those types of things should lead to better results over time. Odor has the power but he is going to have to learn to lay off the pitches out of the zone or we will continue to see no improvement. Right now if there is a guy on 3rd and less than 2 outs I am going to feel better with Profar at the plate than Odor.

They like his bat better but Rua is the better athlete and definitely better defensively

Actually I played 3B and the distance is close to the same and at times longer for the SS if he has to range to his right. Plus the SS has to cover more area so they need a gun as time is lost in getting to the ball once in a while. Quick reflexes are needed at 3B as it is the "hot box".

We think of Gallo as striking out a lot as he has 47 K's in 134 ABs. But Chirinos has 45 K's in 97 ABs.

Thats what I was saying, the throw from the hole is the one that makes the SS throw longer

Its catcher, if he's solid defensively and can hit over .200 with about 20 HRs, you're pretty happy

Chirinos has been better recently, he's about as good as we're going to see for a while, at least as far as our minor league system is concerned
