Besides if it's possible he slips to late 20 why sit there just to be shown waiting.

Jets are supposedly very high on Allen, so maybe the wrong team. I think people are sleeping on the possibility Mayfield actually goes first overall. If Dorsey has control, I'd bet you that's his QB1. McCloughan and Dorsey are already on record gushing for Mayfield. Only person who could screw it up is Hue Jackson and his height nonsense.

Meh, I wouldn't be surprised to see Dorsey sign McCarron to a contract he can send into the sun when he sucks after next year which is likely.

Dorsey traded for Smith and signed Chase Daniel in the same offseason in 2013. This draft actually has QB's you'd want at the top so I'd imagine they draft a guy and bring in McCarron to hedge their bet.

I don't think he's any good at all. At most he gets 1 year to prove he's not a pile of dung and the years after that are effectively option years for the team. Then again, there have been insane teams before.

I agree, not a fan, as unproven as any QB coming out of this draft

I could almost see a team like Miami go after him, Miami rightfully seems pretty unsure with Tannehill
