Why would you want to get rid of Sumlin? Compare his performance to the previous 15 years

But the comp is mostly based off of year 1.

2009: 39th
2010: 22nd
2011: 8th (odd result based on record)
2012: 2nd (Sumlin)
2013: 12th
2014: 30th
2015: 44th

I am not really sure there is anything in there to suggest that Sumlin is elevating the program

Big 12 South was the best division in CFB at the time and he took over a dumpster fire and played a lot of young kids. I prefer to use things like S&P, because it factors in schedule. Not all 9 win season are the same. I anythign I think Sherman got a raw deal at A&M

I was really upset when they fired Sherman. Outsiders can look at the bad 2011 season full of 2 half collapses capped off with a loss to texas at home to end the rivalry. It had more to do with the big cigars moving to the SEC and Sherm no exactly 'on board' with it. Didn't fit the new brand

He was building it up the right way. It takes time. That 2011 team did have an amazing habit of blowing games. That is probably why computers liked them so much. They would out play highly ranked teams for 90% of the game and a few bonehead plays would watch it slip away.
