If the Warriors don't make the Finals, is the 'dynasty' 'over'?

Is it done if they miss the finals? Or is it not done until the one or more of the big 3 leave? Or until Steph does?

Or perhaps they have to miss the playoffs entirely for it to be over? They did of course recently but that was injury related.

But many fools here said it was done when KD left.

Definitely a lot closer to the end than the beginning.

But they still have players good enough to win a series against anybody in the league. And they still have trade chips that could potentially bring in another useful piece or 2.

As long as Curry is playing at a high level and they have a few quality support pieces they have a shot.

Will take some actual good maneuvering by Bob Myers this off season to extend the window however.

I wouldn't quite call it 'over' just yet but the team will slowly decline as the stars get older.

Once Steph and Klay are out the team will be completely different.

Fortunately they have some young pieces that will make them significant, especially if they can get another star off of Stephs contract, but it'll take time.

Pretty neat trick doing that with how old they are getting...might be some issues this series, with every game 2 days apart only

I guess Curry being banged up and Bogut being hurt was why they didn't win in 2016...but I'm glad that happened or we never see the top 3 all time team the next year.

Nobody is running away with the conference, so the Warriors are definitely still in it until they show notable signs of regression. Not so far, beyond that pesky road record...

Yeah that road record thing was really weird this year. But seems to not be a problem in the playoffs. They just never got into it all year, waited to turn it on for the playoffs I guess.

Neither the Lakers nor Warriors in the playoffs can really be evaluated looking at the regular season. Both teams are peaking now. Should be a fun series.

I'm not sure if it plays a part but what if Lebron stays in Cleveland then either Kyrie stays or they trade him for PG13. I venture to say that doesn't play a part in KD's decision bc he always wanted to do his own thing. Maybe he stays and they those teams face off in the Finals the next couple years.
