KD didn't pursue them, they pursued KD. Because they lost in the finals. I don't think it happens if they won.

Yup, it's all speculation. If the Dubs repeat I think they run it back and don't pursue KD but we'll never know.

Why though?

We do know the KD conversations started during international play over the years.

You have the chance to upgrade Harrison Barnes to KD, you do it. This wasn’t a totally spontaneous move. The groundwork was in place.

I seriously doubt the Warriors pass up the chance to get KD just because they won.

I don't recall much published interest in any teams other than the Warriors or OKC, but it wasn't a focus of mine at the time. Not many stars leave a contender for a step down though. Teams like the Knicks always get mentioned, but are never really the intent of the player it seems.
