Not sure they are gonna get someone better than AV so I voted they should have kept him.

oops - Tippet is the top of my list, but forgot about him when I looked at the poll.
so I voted Ruff because I want him at some point to refer to Strombone1's twitter account with "It's a joke!"

We have to wait for Gillis to be fired for either of them. They are both GM material.

Milbury handling the Luongo situation. I giggle just thinking about it.

Snicker all you want but I think it's pretty clear that Milbury has by far the most experience necessary for this particular job.

By "this particular job" I mean the trading of Luongo for next to nothing.

Other: Tippett.

And if it happens (or Ruff), I'm going to be soooo jealous because I always wanted one of those two to take over for McLellan (who I don't care for one bit).

He certainly earned his moniker of :mad2: MIKE by the way he handled Luongo & so many other former Islanders.

At this point I think they need a task master. I went with Keenan even though I cant stand him.

Iron Mike recently signed a two year deal to coach Metallurg in the KHL. However, history has shown us that Keenan isn't shy of breaking contracts and deciding to pull the plug if a better opportunity comes his way.

I love how Tony points out the coaches who he thinks aren't the right fit in Vancouver, but doesn't suggest any who may be a right fit in Vancouver. Way to go out on a limb, Tony.

im thinking those 1 or 2 (or 6 columns) are on there way from Gallagher

/Chapman said he has heard that Tortorella is very highly regarded by ownership ... that they essentially want someone that has won a cup ... AV was an ownership influenced firing ... sounds like the new hire will be too

//bet they wish Detroit got swept first round too

Gotta be winning the Jack Adams (didn't the Canucks miss the playoffs the year after AV won the Adams?)

You are correct. Jack Adams in 06-07, missed the playoffs in 07-08

Willie Mitchell ‏@Willie_Mitch33 19h In all seriousness, good luck to #AV & #Bones -one of the nicest men in hockey. #canucks #nhl #avfired #howAVdoes"son"
