Yeah we have 6 seasons with double P5's on the future and more look likely with the way the schedule is setting up. For the most part it looks like replacing one of the G5's with a mid-tier P5. I would expect to see another P5 put on the schedule with Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech as well, likely someone better at the moment, but who knows in 15 years.

Maybe... But Bama has finished top 20 27 times over the last 40 years, and OSU has 31 times. If Day hasn't left for the NFL, it's looking like we'll probably be good still. Whoever takes over for Saban will have all the opportunities in the world to be good.

Is it possible this thinking is 180 degrees opposite of the old "we can't risk a loss in order to make the playoffs thinking"? More like "we've got to schedule like this in order to show our metal to the committee?"

Why wouldn’t it? Both teams are consistently good. Bama has won a National title in every decade but the 80’s and has been a juggernaut except from 1995-2007 when we got back2back sets of crippling Sanctions. Ohio State is ALWAYS good too.These are the 2 biggest Brands in the sport and it should be awesome.
