Not the ending I would’ve preferred but still was a successful season. I think they were gassed by mid September and it really showed the last two-three weeks of the regular season and in the playoffs. Just hoping that they learned from this experience and come back better and wiser next year.

I think the loss of Bautista really hurt the bullpen. And there was no way to predict that was going to happen.

Also, I really think the week off really hurt as well. Hard to quantify that, but the bats that already went cold just got colder. We ran into a buzzsaw, plain and simple.

The Orioles are not at their peak, and will get better just because this is such a young team, but we do have some decisions and moves to make. Chief among them, where is the future for Tyler Wells, because that will ultimately dictate if they go after a starter or multiple relievers this off-season.

The only AL East team to win a game in October were the Red Sox

That last game when they announced Wakefield's passing right before the start and Youkilis basically broke down on air. Yeah, not a great end to the season.

Don Zimmer's faceplant courtesy of Pedro was 20 years ago today.

Doesn't seem possible.
If a fart was ever able to morph into human form, Don Zimmer is what it would look like. Father Time did no favors for a man who was ugly to begin with.

Wow.

What year was that again?

In other equally relevant news, the last time I had a salad to eat was last night.

Is this enough time for you to admit that Zimmer had no business rushing Pedro like that? What a bizarre scene.
