German pitched 4 scoreless innings out of the pen after being "scratched"

Brito who started for him allowed 5 ER in his 4 innings of work

Put your Saints jersey on…..

Yankees set a franchise record for strikeouts in consecutive games -- 30. They hit fastballs but not breaking pitches.

Yankees didn't seem to have any "life" tonight. Looked a lot like the Twins have recently.

I mentioned yesterday that the decision to sit Judge almost 100% came from above Boone’s head. I’m sure Boone wanted to play him.

The part that is hard to figure out is Boone letting his starter give up 7 runs in the first inning. The game was over at that point, so even Judge wouldn’t have helped. That slow hook on Severino is ALL on Boone.

Slow hook on severino? The O’s scored 6 runs before he recorded and out?!?!

Also, Severino didnt strike out 18 times.

A mound visit would have been nice. That was like letting your opponent start a basketball game on a 20-0 run and you dont call a single timeout

Who’s getting traded today? Red Sox should probably sell. This team is going nowhere in 2023.

Don't think I've ever seen a Sox team that hit so well at home and struggled to hit on the road. .292/.359/.471 at home and .236/.303/.396 on the road.

The Yankees predicament is they don't have anything anyone wants, except for down on the farm, and that would be pretty counterproductive.

I just hope they don't do anything stupid, but then I remember who's running things.
