Huh.

Not surprising at all that they project a dogfight, a little surprised they have them equal offensively, and the Yanks' pitching as better (not dramatically or anything, but still)
They have the Yanks bullpen as the best in baseball and their rotations not too far apart.

They have the offense and pitching backwards

The Yankees offense is gonna shatter all time records this season

Everyone knows this
You know I'm high on this Yankees team. I have them winning the World Series. They have Astros, Yankees, Red Sox as the top 3 offenses in baseball in terms of runs per game.

Here's how they have the Yankees and Red Sox stacked up offensively position by position with their ranks in terms of offense alone:

Catcher: Yankees-1st, Red Sox-25th
1st Base: Yankees-16th, Red Sox-24th
2nd Base: Yankees-27th, Red Sox-11th
Shortstop: Yankees-15th, Red Sox-5th
3rd Base: Yankees-22nd, Red Sox-12th
Left Field: Yankees-1st, Red Sox-5th
Center Field: Yankees-9th, Red Sox-7th
Right Field: Yankees-2nd, Red Sox-3rd
DH: Yankees-4th, Red Sox-1st

Just double checked, they actually have the Yankees rotation slightly better than the Red Sox.

Yeah and it closes because of defense. They have the Yankees as 10th overall and the Red Sox as 7th.

Projected slash lines:

Bogaerts: .287/.350/.439/.789
Didi: .268/.310/.433/.743

So pretty much they expect their OPS to flip from last year. A regression from Didi and a bounceback from Bogaerts (mainly in the power departments)

I dont know what source would be used to determine that SS position

Didi destroyed Xander last season

I wonder if they projected him to miss 20+ games also.....

I never liked Xander at all......I think Didi is on an upward trend and has been now for a couple seasons, I would absolutely never trade him straight up for Xander, especially in Yankee Stadium where Xanders' righty bat, he may hit about 6HR's all season

It’s kind of funny — the Mariners’ best 25-and-under projection belongs to Mike Ford, at 1.0 WAR. Ford was a Rule 5 selection who they plucked from the Yankees. The Yankees had no roster room for the Mariners’ best statistical 25-and-under player. The Yankees have 11 25-and-under players who project better than Ford does. At the top of the list are Luis Severino, Gary Sanchez, and Jordan Montgomery. This doesn’t even give the Yankees credit for Aaron Judge, who’s 25 today, but who turns 26 in a couple of months. When people tell you the Yankees are loaded, they don’t just mean they can run some high payrolls. The Yankees are great in the majors and the minors, having turned back into a juggernaut.

16th?!?! We're talking the Spring Training God here! Greg Bird is going to better than every other player in the majors. Very informed people have told me so.

Brian Cashman for President.

I think the voters are going to be concerned he's going to take another 7-8 year nap like he did from 2010-2017

Shit, Dayton Moore can build a World Series champion in 7-8 years.
