Thus ends a frustrating, but overall solid Red Sox career. I do think the Sox should have waited longer to deal him. Phillies will be paying for Buchholz though. Tobias looks like a utility player at best.

I like the move for Philly

Going from the AL beast to a weak NL East may be a rejuvenator for Clay

hellickson/velasquez/Nola/Bucholz may not be too bad

And if he pitches well, and the Phillies suck, trading an expiring contract in July, will be an easy task

Good to see we got rid of clay Bucholz, maybe could have got something more though.

that Seth Smith/Gallardo trade was just plain dumb for the Mariners.

Thanks for posting that, the Jays may need one of their outfield prospects to step up given what happens to Bautista.

Well Bautista's coming back. Wish Toronto had kept Edwin but at least we got 1 of the 2 to come back.

TRUMBO ends up taking less money than the Orioles original starting point.

Duquette loves to play the waiting game....and it worked out really well for him.

I hope TRUMBO doesn't harbor any ill will. The O's clearly won the battle and then some.
It is not their fault.

Although, he should take a look at his agent a bit closer.

I am a Red Sox fan and a Blue Jay fan as well. Strange pairing I know but it is what it is. As to Trumbo, good move by the Orioles to bring him back for sure.
