I really think the Yanks may do good this year as well. Maybe not playoffs but I can see them being in contention until late September.

The Yankees should be the same team they have been the last four years. A .500 team that ends up winning 3-7 more games than they should have.

It really all depends on how their SP does, they have the bats and the bullpen.

It's a way to set a baseline.

What big moves did they make that you think are going to take them from being a shitty offense to "having the bats?"

Because Yankees?

They get a full season of Sanchez, they added Holliday, subtracted Teixeira and McCann, and strengthened the bench with Carter. If they're hitters hit like they can hit (which you know always happens lol) they can contend, though I do not expect them to because this season is basically going to be a lab experiment with young players coming in and out of the lineup.

It's all about 2019

I could see them contending this year, but I wouldn't say they "have the bats." I think a reasonable expectation for them offensively in 2017 is league average.

Bird and Sanchez both have 30 HR power, it really depends on them.

He said he should be available to still work his usual schedule. Probably around 110 games or so. Unless you heard something more this morning?

It still sucks to hear.

Yeah, it came out a couple days ago. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something else that came out recently. I can't deal with extra Steve Lyons games.

Yeah, I like that guy. Hope everything works out.

I still haven't wrapped my mind around the fact that I'm not going to be able to tune into Dodgers games late night and hear Vin Skully.

Me neither... fucking hell. At least I can tune into the Cubs when they're not playing. Len Kasper is great. The A's have a pretty good booth as well, though that baseball team probably won't be much fun to watch.

I really wish I could get SNY. The Mets do have a very good booth.
