No. We both realize the Yankees are not the teams we have become accustomed to watching. They are trying to rebuild so the can go on another 20 year of being at or near the top.

Yankees always rebuild (except when CBS owned the team). They find a way to be competitive.

This is becoming the toughest division to pick. For now, I will go with:

Boston
Toronto
Baltimore
New York
Tampa Bay

Yanks aree too low

I don't know. They were the one team not to sign a single free agent. They're an old team getting a year older. I think they are just waiting to shed some contracts, get younger, and do a mini-rebuild (prob not the right word).

I was messing with you. I think we can finish anywhere from 2nd to 4th but things must go almost perfect for us as it did from April-early August last season

No FA, but a few small trades and the big trade getting Chapman. I agree with BK, things will have to go almost perfect for us to contend again. But on the other hand this is not a 90 loss team either. I fell like the Yankees will win between 80-85 games. Which should be good for second in the east. I don't think Baltimore or Tampa are that good and Boston is the same as they have been the last few years. They pick up a few players and everyone is jumping on them to turn it all around.

Y'all picked up the best closer in baseball and Price. Both good pick ups but are they enough to say that one of the worst staffs in baseball last year will be one of the best this year.

I agree that last year everything went perfectly, but that's a big reason why I don't think they do as well this year. I can't see everything working out that well two years in a row. Weird how last year this was a Yankees team that probably over-achieved. Usually, almost always, it's the opposite.

IMO Toronto has lost two months of Price from last year's team. A team that has plenty of power and underrated pitching.

They have over achieved the last three years. Without things going perfect the Yankees won 84 games in 13 and 14, which is about where I see them this year.
