IDK... might not think of him as one of the greats... but thats because he is mostly a comedy actor... But there are not many actors ever who made more movies... made better movies... and have fans come see movies simply because they are in it...


He has to be top 10 male actors of the past 30 years

Murphy i only included because he was just as popular as Sandler during sandler's prime...

and if murphy came out with anything NOW people would flock to see it....

no one is going to "flock" to see an Eddie Murphy movie, dude. And I don't equate popularity to "good actor"

are we talking actual talent here or are you talking about which actors bring in the most money?

Tom Cruise is not a good actor.

He’s probably the greatest actor of all time. His pivotal performance in little Nicky was life changing for all those who saw it.

Tom Cruise is not a good actor.

Not sure if this award or thread is about actual acting talent...

that is always harder to measure... and generally Drama actors seem to be perceived as the better "ACTOR"

i wouldnt simply measure by most money because of inflation and particular franchises dominating the box office...

Maybe top 10 is too high, because i am seeing others that i left out...

But i dont think calling Sandler one of the GREATS is that far off...

Willis is retired, so of course he isn’t on a current list. But based on his work over the last 30 years, I think he makes a short list for top tier. Absolutely.

if that's the case, you need The Rock on there.

but if we are talking acting talent you gotta throw guys like Phoenix, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe...

Denzel is miles better than Cruise, IMO.

I think Ethan Hawke is better than Cruise.
