I've saying for months that the prosecutions case is weak and this ruling referenced in the OP's link just about killed it. Personally, I think Hernandez is guilty as hell, but the DA better come up with something (IE; solid physical or forensic evidence) quick because convicting a man of 1st degree murder based purely on circumstantial evidence and the testimony of felons isn't easy to do.

I cannot understand the grounds by which texts send by the victim immediately before his demise can be deemed inadmissible. They prove that he himself was suspicious of his present company.

Does anyone recall or has it come up just where the other guys in the car claim to have left Odin off?

Even worse, he will sue the NFL when he gets out. But, the NFL could use the evidence this time to defend it.

Never, ever again doubt the depths to which Robert Kraft will go to protect his empire. Okay?

There is absolutely no way Hernandez gets a not guilty out of this. This shouldn't be a big shock that the other murders wouldn't be considered in THIS murder trial

Seems to me that the prosecution might have overreached in charging AH as guy who actually committed the murder. I don't know the law well enough, but perhaps they'd have a stronger case if they would have charged all three of the suspects with something like conspiracy to commit murder. Could that also have led one or two of the guys to come up with some more incriminating evidence against the one who actually pulled the trigger (e.g., where the gun is)?

Just speculating, but I wonder if a prosecutor too eager to make a name for himself in a high profile murder case might have made a mistake in charging AH as the killer.

It is not easy to do if said defendant has money (or is a celebrity that allows a lawyer to use the case as PR).

That said, the way this seems to be developing seems to be a mixture of OJ and Ray Lewis... which means not good for the prosecution, or finding out the truth/seeing justice done.

Not to defend Ray-Ray, but IIRC one of the biggest problems in that case was that the local big wigs had decided 5 minutes after the murder that they could make their careers by going after Ray Lewis, rather than conduct a proper investigation....

And IIRC with the OJ case was that the LAPD was so sloppy in its handling of evidence that said evidence pretty much had to be thrown out (other than having a racist detective handle the case).

No idea FTR whether Hernandez is guilty (and if so, of what) or not...
