Some are acting as though AH is the first man in history to be tried for a crime while he's currently in prison for another murder.

He was acquitted and they just added 5 years for gun charges. What the families have to deal with sucks but it was a complete waste of resources to go after a guy serving life with no parole.

Money and resources are wasted everyday. The families need closure and if by the slim .0000001 he is innocent, then they need to keep looking for the suspects. The fact they tried to pin the murder on the one-eyed Jack is too funny. Baez did the same diversion in the Anthony case saying that her father( ex cop) molested Casey all the time. She sends the cops on a wild goose chase saying that a nanny named Zaeni ( sp?) had her for 31 days in an apt that nobody lived in mos. Come to find out Zaeni is the sreet name of a drug. He never wanted to have a child and loved partying so she would drug her kid everyday night to sleep alone while she went out

Yes, but that's not something we should be okay with and I seriously doubt they got closure from seeing him get a pointless gun charge added to his sentence.

I understand and we all were hoping for a guilty verdict. Your saying "hell he's already in prison for 1 murder and he is doing life, why even bother trying him for these? He is already appealing his first conviction. There have been serial killers tried in different states for different murders

Waste of taxpayer money. They already have him for life.

The appeals process for the first conviction is not complete yet, so the state of Massachusetts was just hedging their bets by trying him in this case. Now if he wins his appeal on the first murder conviction he'll be out in five or six years.

Just how many Life terms do they think they need, anyway?

1 for 3

Prosecutor is batting .333
Maybe they were going for death.
Just because a person is currently incarcerated doesn't mean you ignore any other case he might be guilty of.

True on the second part. Those who are on death row tend to stay there for a very long time so no need to try if one has a life sentence.

You mean no need to try if someone has a death sentence, not life sentence

I don't think MA is a capital punishment state though, is it? Unless you're talking about shoehorning in a federal charge where it likely doesn't belong (although I must say I am relatively ignorant of the details of these cases and this may have been exactly what was done here).

I just looked it up, no Mass does not have capital punishment. The bomber of the marathon was sentenced to death because the federal gov prosecuted the case.
Regardless it still doesn't mean the state should ignore other crimes if the suspect is already serving a life sentence.

Families need closure. Going into the case the family had no idea he'd only get 5 years for a gun charge. Hopefully they can find solitude in his life sentence?
As for why try a convict already serving life? Easy he wouldn't be the first one that got his original case over turned.

Uncomfirned reports are the Jury were all Patriots fans and refused to let AH continue to taint their team.
They figured calling him guilty adds to more murders to the Pats, while an aquital changes nothing.

Doubtful. In today's world convictions don't get overturned. That was back when DNA and other testing was not available.
