Correct me if I am wrong, I don't remember the case very well. Wasn't there quite a bit of evidence against Hernandez, going beyond circumstantial?

as far as i remember, yes but i think this all came down to "beyond a reasonable doubt," jury had doubts and as a result he was acquitted.

Who says they (some) are not willing to kill? Plenty of legislative decisions have life and death implications. Politicians would just rather someone else do the dirty work - "how about a scholarship so you can go to school, son?"

I said that plenty of sociopaths don't kill and you said that those people were called politicians. You can understand my confusion with you now taking the stance that politicians do, in fact, kill. Especially since it sounds a lot like the point I was making.

It's not a waste of time because what if his life sentence get overturned for some reason? Anything is possible.

Point taken - honestly I misread your second post, but my comments still hold water.

I was talking in a literal sense. Like Aaron Hernandez literally killed Odin Lloyd. Where as sociopath politicians aren't necessarily pulling the trigger, but their decisions are still responsible for life and death. And often times it seems some politicians rationalize these terrible decisions as the cost of doing business, with no consideration for the lives they are destroying because they have no skin in the game - thus making them sociopaths. Willing to make choices of life and death, but not literally killers themselves.

Just because those are the things that politicians tell themselves so that they don't have to see themselves as killers doesn't mean you/we have to accept that stance though. I'm perfectly comfortable calling a lot of them "killers" whether they personally see themselves as killers or not, or whether they dealt the death blow themselves or not. Come on over to my side

He has already been convicted for another murder and given life without parole.

He was acquitted and they just added 5 years for gun charges. What the families have to deal with sucks but it was a complete waste of resources to go after a guy serving life with no parole.
