A 2nd for Carr? Yes. But he would have to be willing to restructure his contract. Dad, you are right, there is no way we can afford his contract and Alex Smith's contract for the next 2 years.

Absolutely, if you can find one in the draft that is better (and be in a position to draft him). But Carr has proven he can some have success in this league. Rosen hasn't and neither have any of the QBs in the draft. Is a 2nd outrageous? Maybe, maybe not. But its a moot point because we can't afford him and his current contract without decimating the rest of the team. And he isn't worth that.

We are not disagreeing on this. We have to go draft, your mention of his contract supports that.
