My team is far from perfect, i hate having 4 Righty SP, and i dislike much of my bench, and dislike the need for a colorado hitter... I just think my team is MUCH better than yours...

you are missing the point... you are taking the numbers at face value.... numbers are different in different eras... Look how often each player had a top 5 and top 10 season... you will see that part of the reason Palmeiro was so good was because of when he played, that means something too...

It is close. I'd take Palmeiro over Giambi and Averill who are your starting 1B and DH so again to say Palmeiro would be on your bench is nuts.

well to be fair, he would because i could only start one 1980 player... and walker is better, especially since he was a good fielder...

See that's the thing, your lineup is not only not significantly better its not better at all. Waner does not get the love he deserves. I just don't see how you believe that, I think my rotation and pen are both slightly better and my defense is much better especially as I said up the middle.
