What? I thought if a player hit the ball into the stands that was a foul ball. Why were the cubs awarded a run?

I think I'm getting towards acceptance.

A 1-0 loss I can live with. It would mean Webb pitched well.

And it might start pushing FZ to actually revamp the hitting.

I am sure he can find a few more middle infielders on the DFA pile.

That five pitch inning exceeded even my Caining expectations.

These "hitters" are DIALED IN.

This is just ridiculous. The whole season is a waste of stellar pitching.

Hard to blame the hitters when they are facing a CY candidate.

For the rest of the year:
Craw -- minimal use. Let him start the last home game.
JDD -- sparing use. He's 30 and not a solution
DeJong -- DeGONE
Tyro -- play every day
Wilmer -- platoon at DH w/ Joc
Schmitt -- play every day
VR -- play most days
LWJ -- sparing use. IL him if needed
Haniger -- sits
Meckler -- every day
Slater -- every day
Yaz -- most days
Joc -- split DH with Wilmer
Bales -- most days
Sabol -- most days
Forto -- don't activate him

Bring up Matos and Ramos, maybe Alvarez

LOL

How do you get the third out of the inning and also allow a run to score?!?

This team is badly put together, badly coached, and playing badly since July 14. (Except the pitchers, who have been above average.)

At this rate, the Giants might not reach 75 wins, and may not score more than 30 runs the rest of the way.

Due to positional limitations I doubt what you are suggesting is possible, but I agree with the gist of what you are saying. However, as much as I am impressed with Sabol, I don’t really see him as a major piece moving forward. I am 100% AOK with him starting next year in Sacto, and having him essentially fade into non-existence. I don’t hate him, I just don’t love him.

Shut up Kuip. This team does not deserve the nod to the opposing pitcher. They just stink and need to own the stink stench.

For the rest of the year:
Craw -- minimal use. Let him start the last home game.
JDD -- sparing use. He's 30 and not a solution  I had high hopes for him at the beginning of the season, but he has wilted as the season has gone on. Pre All Star .277/.350/.450, Post All Star .188/.265/.299
DeJong -- DeGONE
Tyro -- play every day
Wilmer -- platoon at DH w/ Joc
Schmitt -- play every day
VR -- play most days
LWJ -- sparing use. IL him if needed Pre All Star .275/.404/.450, Post All Star .193/.281/.307
Haniger -- sits release him or IL him until next season
Meckler -- every day
Slater -- every day
Yaz -- most days the fewer the better
Joc -- split DH with Wilmer Just as soon sit Joc for the duration. A major disappointment
Bales -- most days
Sabol -- most days Bailey needs a break or two
Forto -- don't activate him

Bring up Matos and Ramos, maybe Alvarez
