Betances hits McCann in the head after both sides are warned. No suspension. Yeah that seems fair.

"the league is out to get us!"

The league, like everyone else, determined it wasnt intentional

You play the Reds in late September

Only FanGraphs gives that - 33.5%.
and that was kind of my point I guess

I think the Indians ARE the favorite to win it all at this point---- but its not like that makes them more likely than not to do so.

Say they have a 2/3rds chance of winning each series to get out of the AL--- which is a pretty big favorite.....

2/3 x 2/3 = 4/9 = 44%--- which is still prob a little bit high.

So based on your view, I get to bitch about the Sox playing a four game set against the second best team in the AL to end the season? Or nah?

Clearly.

FiveThirtyEight has them as the overwhelming favorite to win the World Series at 30% (second place Dodgers at 15%), but that still means they give them a 70% chance of not winning the World Series.

MLB calculated correctly

The Astros will be putting out their AAA club, as they will have zero to play for

I do think that would suck. I don't think the Twins are very good.

It would also erase the possibility of the Indians eliminating the Red Sox and Yankees in one postseason.

Yankees are 89-33 against the Twins since 2002 I believe

Of course that means absolutely zero in a one game crapshoot, but that is crazy

I had the Rams D too and I got 2 points. Lots of points and yards given up, but sacks, the INT, and the fumble made up for it.

39 points allowed and still positive points?

you lucky f!
Funny thing, I could have had another 6 points from Gurley. I think if they had challenged one of his goal line stuffs, he was in. They just figured they would get it on 3rd and goal from the 1. Settled for a FG.

I don't think if they had it would have been enough to overturn the non td call on the field. I know which play you are talking about and initially I thought he was in, then the replays clearly showed he wasn't.

So home field advantage = zero. Interesting take.
