I don't think if they had it would have been enough to overturn the non td call on the field. I know which play you are talking about and initially I thought he was in, then the replays clearly showed he wasn't.

The one where he was on the defenders back and lunged in? I thought it was pretty clear that his backside didn't hit the ground. I haven't looked too closely to the play since though.

What I've learned today.


Home field advantage = nothing

6 games against the AL east cellar dwellers and 7 straight home games = an uphill climb.

Given the Indians' and Astros' schedules and the Tribe's 2.5 game lead, I'd be disappointed if home field was up for grabs.

Astros face Angels, Rangers and Red Sox.

Indians face Mariners, Twins and White Sox.

Amazing that the MLB schedule makers foresaw this last year when they were intentionally trying to give the sox the easiest schedule possible in an effort to screw the Yankees.

Yeah they always have. I just wish they had challenged it because at first glance I thought it was clear he was in. Can't find the highlight anywhere since it ended up being a moot point. And then when Gurley was stuffed again at the goal line later in the game, I was really annoyed. Until Goff hit Watkins on the slant. 6 points is 6 points!

I would be winning a giant FanDuel tournament right now, but Greinke decided to not show up. What a joke.

I do think that would suck. I don't think the Twins are very good.

It would also erase the possibility of the Indians eliminating the Red Sox and Yankees in one postseason.

Watch the Twins beat the Indians in 5 and get to celebrate on the field in Cleveland.


Also, congrats to Scooter Gennett for becoming the first player in MLB history to hit 4 grand slams and have a 4 homer game in the same season. The only other player to accomplish both feats in a career was Lou Gehrig (4 homer game in 1932, 4 slams in a season in 1934).
