Arod was blocked from going to Boston by the Players Union, because he was willing to take a reduced pay, and the PU didnt like the precedent that woudl set

Gary Sanchez sucker punches guy in the face. Only a 3 game suspension.

Yordana Ventura (RIP) suspended 9 games for throwing a baseball at Machado. Yeah that seems fair.

"Lets suspend Yordanna Ventura for 3 games between his starts"

Youre smarter than that

An advantage is an advantage, regardless of where it originates.

Yes. but you are implying if the same exact situation happened with the Yankees, the Players Union would not have stepped in

Thats silly puddy

Why? What you and Wiggy appear to be saying is the Pats Superbowl wins were no fluke.

You know when the Giants were taking Tom Brady over their knees, you would tell me "anytiing can happen in a series in baseball, but not in football"?

Kluber will be the difference.....Absolutely dominates the Yankees, and Id expect to see him in some way shape and form, a lot in that series
He should start at least 2 games.

Having Kluber- and then a relief squad of Miller, Allen, Shaw, Smith behind him is pretty crazy. Carrasco has looked great too.

Salazar is such a wild card. He had as dominate a stretch during late July/early August where he looked like he would be a shoe-in to start a playoff game----- but then he got hurt again, and gets out of rhythm.

I obviously dont expect Salazar to start a playoff game- but its so frustrating seeing that kind of talent with such random results.

I think Bauer is good but ---- say the Indians split the first 2 games in a series- Kluber winning, and then say Carrasco loses.....Bauer going 1-1 makes me nervous. Hes been great of late but he just is so mentally all over the place.

It should be interesting.

We'll never know, will we. All we know is that the PU made a decision about the game's biggest star at the time. And they chose to make their biggest star available to baseball's flagship franchise at the expense of the Red Sox for a reason that had no previous history.

Giants are really impressive. Especially the part about them being able to consistently repeat their excellent playoff performances. Oh wait. . .

back in 1995, 5 game series vs Seattle, Randy Johnson would start, than come out of the pen in big spots.....the entire mission that series was to avoid a situation where Unit would come in with a lead

And thats how it ended, with Big Unit getting the W in Game 5

I could see Kluber doing that, ONLY if needed, Indians may dispose of us in 3

dude I'm playing against has Gurley, Watkins and Garcon... I'm screwed
I have Gurley and Watkins. The person I'm facing has Garcon, didn't play him.

negative points for you huh?
I had the Rams D too and I got 2 points. Lots of points and yards given up, but sacks, the INT, and the fumble made up for it.

Betances hits McCann in the head after both sides are warned. No suspension. Yeah that seems fair.

"the league is out to get us!"

Since Aug 7th:

Bauer - 8 GS ~ 6-1 ~ 50.0 IP ~ 59 K ~ 3.06 ERA

Clevinger - 7 GS ~ 6-1 ~ 43.2 IP ~ 52 K - 1.65 ERA

I'd prefer not wasting a roster spot on Salazar.
