Redskins fans following Rookie QBs slated to be in the 2018 draft, is like married men going to spring break.

Yes there will be more sexy options, and one of them MIGHT just be THE ONE, but do we really have the time patients or energy to break in another sexy pick?? :trash:

Maybe you didn't read my post. I said 3rd round or later. I would not consider that a sexy pick.

Maybe you didn't see I said I am FOR signing Cousin's long term. :trash::trash:

I think @Sharkinva's point is that given the history of this front office and fan base, we draft a QB like Mayfield and the first time KC has a bad game, the calls for Mayfield to be put in will be deafening. Both overtly from the fan base and probably internally from the Owner's box.

This doesn't mean you don't draft a Mayfield for grooming, just realize what you are getting yourself into when you do.

Me too honestly. I still don't understand why we didn't give him an actual shot in an actual game.
because college success is not NFL success, i didnt realize that back then........theres many things college qb's do that dont translate, or can get away with in college that destroy their NFL chances.......like footwork, pocket passing etc....

YOu know me better than that. I did read your post. I have also said many times, this front office and fan base simply can not handle a guy being drafted as the heir apparent even if he is drafted in the 3rd round and Kirk is signed long term.

Oh I get that. But we were a bad offense. What would it have hurt to try?

I do know you better than that. I guess my point is if you can get a guy that seems skilled but might last to round 3 or 4 because he is short and supposedly has a weak arm then you take him.

I could care less what the fans root for. Many don't know a trap from a dive. Remember Sonny vs. Billy. It is like a birthright. Look at the forum we have a QB who is better than any QB since at least Theismann, there have been 4897975395395395945345347593753745793745939759345739453945934957953973753535345 posts about that alone.

The FO is the front office. Little I can do about that whether it is Cousin's or someone else. :suds:

My questions concerning both the 2018 draft and 2018 draftable QB's are:

1. What happens to Cousins during the off-season?
2. Who will Bruce Allen hire to help him set-up the draft board?
3. Will Jordan Reed undergo a TAU protein PET scan with results forcing his retirement?
4. What's the next move with respect to the future of Su'a Cravens?
5. Who are the available free agents?
6. ....And based upon #5 trades for need (especially at RB)
7. Is Ryan Anderson ready to take a starting position? if so what happens to Kerrigan?

1. What happens to Cousins during the off-season? Unknown at this point. It should be resolved before the draft

2. Who will Bruce Allen hire to help him set-up the draft board? According to brother Jon, Jay is very strong as an evaluator had to do this job when he was in the Arena League .... as well as coach

3. Will Jordan Reed undergo a TAU protein PET scan with results forcing his retirement? I think we are seeing the beginning of the end. Great receiver, crappy blocker, just can't stay on the field.

4. What's the next move with respect to the future of Su'a Cravens? I think he wrote his own ending.

5. Who are the available free agents? Not sure

6. ....And based upon #5 trades for need (especially at RB) pick a position

7. Is Ryan Anderson ready to take a starting position? if so what happens to Kerrigan? Kerrigan starts again next year. He has two years left on his deal and is the most productive OLB on the team. You can't be suggesting someone else is better.

Good pts. 1 & 2 are just unknowns - who the hell knows w/ this team. Ditto for Reed. As for Cravens - I know that a lot of folks feel differently, but I would not give up on him just yet assuming that he & his teammates are on bd (if they are not then forgot it). A lot of folks always wanted to give up on Docston & look at him now (I know the reasons are different but you just don't know w/ some guys).

As for Anderson - IMO you can't have too many LBs & Anderson will be cheap for many years to come - just work him in slowly if possible & hope for the best (& of course unfortunately there is always the possibility of multiple injuries at that position in the future).

Seriously, I hate Baker Mayfield, but I love him too. I see a star in the making but wonder if his antics will kill him.

If we let KC go, this is my guy but I am scared to death to use a first on him.
